Ok all you contest and sweepstakes loving people, here are some quilting and sewing contests along with other fun things to enter for either the pride of being a winner or for actual cash and merchandise. • Crafting a Better Planet Quilt Competition This quilting contest is sponsored by Mountain Mist/Leggett & Platt, Inc. and the International Quilt Study Center (at the University of Nebraska). The purpose? To encourage YOU to create a quilt using all natural materials including EcoCraft batting made by Mountain Mist. Entries must be received by March 1, 2008. • Hey all you teenage sewing enthusiasts! Check out Joann.com and their 2008 Prom Contest. Create your own look for YOUR special night. Win cash! Win prizes!
  
  
• The American Rose Society Quilt Contest is back! Dates for 2008 are June 26 - 29 in Denver, Co. The quilts must have a predominate rose and/or rose themed fabric/design. Check out their website for information, rules and the entry form.
  
  
• Shippensburg, PA will be the site of the Quilt Odyssey 2008 Quilting Contest for 2008. Entry materials must be received by April 30, 2008. Quilts must be received between July 8 and July 19th. Information, rules and the entry form can be obtained on their website.
  
  
• The Creative Home Arts Club offers numerous sewing contests in quite a number of categories. You can join this on-line club for free; however, signing up puts you on the subscription list for their magazine. You can always decline the magazine subscription after reviewing the free issue and still be a site member.

• AQS Quilt Show and Contest, April 23 - 26, 2008 in Paducah, KY. This one has 16 categories.
  
  
• The AQS Quilt Expo-Nashville is scheduled for August 20 - 23, 2008. CASH prizes and 6 categories.
  
  
• The AQS Quilt Expo-DeMoines is scheduled for October 8 - 11, 2008. CASH prizes and 5 categories.

I admit it. I'm a Slingo.com junkie. Ok, not quite that bad, but I do spend time there.
